About Pillar - Our mission is to improve safety and wellbeing of workers in safety critical industries like construction and oil & gas, by managing workforce fatigue. Fatigue is thought to be causal in 20-40% of incidents, and is major drag on worker wellbeing & workforce productivity. It is a complex issue to manage given a history of being accepted, its multi-causal nature and the fact that some of these causes are not easy to unpick. The role We are looking for a physiologist with strong knowledge of fatigue and recovery to help us further develop and test our product and technology, and help deliver change. 

Ideally we are looking for someone who: 

1. Can help with further development and testing of fatigue algorithms, alongside software developers and data scientists 

2. Likes to get out on the ground (possibly also outside of the UK) with customers and workers – to continually learn about the true nature of the problems and responses to our product – to inform product development 

3. Is UK based but happy to travel, and likes working from an office when not out with customers 

4. Is ambitious and wants to progress their career, and likes autonomy 

5. Cares about improving the health of the workforces that craft, maintain and operate the built environment, our energy system, our transport system. 

6. Team player, who appreciates others’ work 

7. Wants to work with some of the top scientists in the world, a highly capable and team-oriented team, to serve the workers of some of the world's most important industrial companies, and where you can have a big impact on the product and company direction.
