What you’ll do
We are looking for an experienced individual who will be provide day to day management of the BASES accredited physiology laboratory at Sport Wales, including the maintenance, preparation and calibration of laboratory equipment, together with adhering to safe laboratory practice procedures.
As the Laboratory Technician, you will be managing and maintaining all relevant technical equipment and software as well as maintaining a comprehensive, indexed database of work conducted with athletes and coaches.
You will be responsible for providing support to physiology practitioners in order to deliver against the Sport Wales strategies and provide sport science support to identified athletes where appropriate.
What you’ll need
We are looking for candidates who has proven experience in calibrating and managing the maintenance and servicing of sports science equipment. You will have a degree, or equivalent, in sports science or a related area as well as excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex data in terms that are easily understood by a wide range of audiences.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable, although not essential. If you have the presence and personality to work in a high performing team as well as the passion and drive to succeed, then we would love to hear from you.
