The School of Life and Health Sciences at the University of Roehampton is a rapidly growing provider of
Life Sciences and Healthcare Education, offering established Life Sciences programmes alongside
Nursing and Allied Health courses. With a strong commitment to student success and societal impact, the
School delivers high-quality education supported by specialist scientific laboratories and simulation
facilities, including sport physiology, biomechanics and movement analysis, and therapy and
rehabilitation suites. Our sport portfolio spans, amongst others, Sport and Exercise Science, Sports
Therapy and MRes Applied Sciences providing a strong basis for this role to contribute to engaging
curricula, research, and applied practice within the field of sport and exercise psychology.

The Role

We are recruiting to the role of Lecturer or Senior Lecturer to join our specialist sport and exercise
science team on a fixed term basis. This is an exciting time to join the team as we prepare to relaunch
our suite of innovative, future-focused programmes, offering the opportunity to contribute to curriculum
innovation and help shape the future direction of Sport and Exercise Psychology within our portfolio.

Key responsibilities will include:
• Making a high quality, impactful contribution to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching;
• Contributing to curriculum development;
• Engaging in the development of new pathways for student learning; and
• Contributing to research and applied practice.

The successful candidate will have:
• A strong understanding of disciplines closely aligned with Sport and Exercise Psychology.
• A demonstrable commitment to research-led or research-informed teaching.
• Effective planning and delivery skills in high-quality, supportive teaching.
• Professional accreditation (e.g., CASES or the British Psychological Society).
