Climate Action and Sustainability in Sport and Exercise Science Awards

In recognition of the fantastic work aligned to Climate Action and Sustainability in Sport and Exercise Sciences across CASES’ members, registered laboratories and accredited universities, a new set of awards have been created, titled:

Outstanding commitment and contribution to Climate Action and the promotion of Sustainability in Sport and Exercise Science.

There are three categories this recognition can be awarded for:

  • pedagogy (learning and teaching)
  • research
  • applied practice/support.

All CASES professional, graduate and student members, all CASES accredited universities (endorsed undergrad and postgrad courses) and registered laboratories can apply for these awards.

Chair of the Climate Action and Sustainability Advisory Group, Dr Ash Willmott MCASES (pictured below) said,

"The new CASES' Climate Action and Sustainability award in Sport and Exercise Science represents a pivotal achievement in our strategy of recognising good practice, innovation and leadership across our members.

"Honouring good practice across education, research, and applied work will shine a spotlight on those driving significant and impactful change, and will hopefully support and initiate others to follow – demonstrating our field’s ability to influence global action for a healthier planet."
