The Chartered Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (CASES) and UK Anti-Doping (UKAD) are pleased to announce that after a review of their current strategic partnership and they have produced a refreshed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to ensure the two organisations are working together to ensure Clean Sport across the UK.
The Strategic Partnership Agreement defines the roles and responsibilities of each organisation in preventing harmful threats to the integrity of sport, and protecting the rights of athletes and athlete support personnel to participate in clean sport.
UKAD and CASES share a joint responsibility to support practitioners across the sport and exercise science landscape in upholding clean sport. This renewed Strategic Partnership Agreement outlines collaborative efforts in continuing professional development, promotional activities, practitioner-focused events, and the development of future sport and exercise scientists.
The CASES Clean Sport agenda is embedded within the remit of the Integrity Advisory Group (IAG), which advises the Board on key matters including Safeguarding, Welfare, Duty of Care, Ethics, Whistleblowing and Clean Sport. The IAG also supports the development of policy and education initiatives for CASES members, ensuring that integrity remains central to professional practice across the sport and exercise science community.

“This renewed strategic partnership between UKAD and CASES represents a vital step forward in ensuring that clean sport efforts are not only evidence-informed but also embedded within a broader framework of integrity, education, and practitioner development.
“Through the CASES Integrity Advisory Group, we are well positioned to co-create impactful interventions that resonate with the lived realities of practitioners. It takes collective action to foster a culture of integrity across the UK sporting landscape, and such partnerships are critical to achieving that goal.”
Tony Josiah, Director of Education, Insight and Global Engagement at UKAD, said,
“We’re delighted to be continuing our work with CASES to ensure this vitally important group of Athlete Support Personnel have the resources and support they need to help athletes on their clean sport journeys.
