CASES appoints a new Head of Operations

10th June 2025

We are pleased to announce that Sue Watson, CASES Partnerships Manager, has been appointed to a new position as Head of Operations.

Sue joined CASES in 2020, initially as Professional Development and Partnerships Manager, and latterly as Partnerships Manager.

The new role will see Sue work closely with and support the Chief Executive Officer to oversee all aspects of daily operations. Sue will continue to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including members, partners, and our volunteers. Sue will also provide leadership, management, supervision, and support to four direct reports, motivating and developing their skills and potential.

Commenting on the appointment, Sue said, “With over 15 years’ experience in leadership, partnership development, and strategic programme management within the sport and exercise science sector, I believe I am well-positioned to make a significant impact in this new role. My ability to develop and implement robust operational plans has been demonstrated through securing or renewing over 10 partnership agreements in the last year alone, and by brokering strategic collaborations that align with organisational goals, enhance professional development, and expand visibility across diverse audiences. I am particularly motivated by CASES’ commitment to equity, diversity, and sustainability, and relish the opportunity to contribute operational leadership to such a forward-thinking organisation. I am confident that my sector knowledge, collaborative approach, and results-driven mindset will stand me in good stead for this exciting new opportunity.”

Sue will start the role from 1 July 2025.
