CASES Professor Tom Reilly Doctoral Dissertation Award Winner Announced

CASES is delighted to announce its Professor Tom Reilly Doctoral Dissertation of the Year 2025 winner is Dr Christopher Nulty, from Liverpool John Moores University.

This award is given annually for an outstanding doctoral dissertation made in the area of sport and/or exercise sciences by a CASES member. This award was established in 2010 through the generosity of Routledge and is named after Prof Tom Reilly (1941-2009) who was an Honorary Fellow of CASES.

As part of receiving this award for the dissertation titled "The effects of resistance exercise and hydrolysed collagen supplementation on changes in collagen synthesis and muscle tendon properties in middle-aged athletes", Christopher will have an article submitted for consideration for The Sport and Exercise Scientist or the CASES website.

Chris' achievement has been published in the CASES Hall of Fame.
